well, she's still stupid. the question was "WHY do you think this is". she didn't answer the question. and how enlightening is "there should be more emphasis on geography so that people can read maps better"?
the hosts are making themselves look stupid by doing the omg-girlpower thing.
so the moral of this story for jianhui: you don't need brains. you just need to be voluptuous to win.

Pointed out by yeemun.. from..
'Sheares' dome shaped float opened up to reveal a dragon with fiery blinking eyes. As the sounds of "Space Jam" blasted from the speakers, it was hard to imagine where the performers got their energy from, as the rest of us baked under the sun.'

it started off with simple chores like collecting used cans and recycling them

and a dream to be at Chingay'08

we wanted to fly

we went crazy brainstorming ideas for the perfect float

even the fishes popped their eyes at our ideas

some went nuts

some underwent weird rituals in search of the answer

others licked toes in search of the winning idea

we worked

whatever/anything would be fine

the days took its toil on us. and we faltered. but we never gave up.

we worked like animals and braved through times of weariness

we bled

but we held hands through these troubled times

we came to put up a good show. we wanted to show horsey to the whole world.

and horsey came to life.

months of hard work. the rain couldnt stop us. the pressure couldnt break us. and fatigue couldnt incapacitate us. despite all the differences. despite all the obstacles. despite all that stood in our way. we never hesitated about giving our all. even if we had to shed our clothes.

and we cried when we won. be it success or defeat, i guess we would have all cried still. maybe it was the gratification for all the sacrifices made. Horsey became famous.

i would like to invite you to embark on this journey with us. this journey of hope for the fallen, of love for the forgotten and time for the used. this journey with THE CINDERELLA - FROM ASHES TO ASHA.

introducing to you one last time. while the memories still last. while our blood still runs with the adrenaline of the day. while the sacrifices made still ache within our hearts. while the tears shed are still real.
with love from horsey.
